High resolution performance is maintained across the entire frame with the well-balanced arrangement of two GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements. Two LD (Low Dispersion) and one XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) lens elements are used to suppress the chromatic aberrations that tend to occur when shooting at the wide-open aperture of fast-aperture lenses.
